Our Mission
The Love in the Time of COVID project aims to make sense of the unique social circumstances emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on humankind and our relationships.
From social isolation due to quarantine, to changes in work environments, to the closing of public spaces, the COVID-19 outbreak is affecting our close relationships around the world in an unprecedented way in modern history. It will impact us in ways that we don’t yet fully understand.
Our mission is: 1) to connect with as many people around the globe as we can to hear their stories; 2) to attempt to determine how the pandemic is affecting people’s relationships in different countries and cultures; and 3) to learn what types of people are most psychologically vulnerable to the pandemic’s effects.
By sharing your experiences (if you are over 18) over the course of the pandemic with us, you will be helping scientists to potentially determine how people can best cope with the difficulties that they are facing, and help future generations who may face similar global challenges.
