Richard B. Slatcher, Ph.D.
Richard Slatcher, is the Gail M. Williamson Distinguished Professor in the Behavior and Brain Sciences area of the Department of Psychology at the University of Georgia. His research focuses on how people’s close relationships with others can affect their well-being and their health. His most recent research focuses on how smartphones, social media, and emerging technologies impact people and their relationships.
Rhonda Balzarini, Ph.D.
Dr. Rhonda Balzarini is an Assistant Professor at Texas State University and an Affiliate Faculty Member at the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University. Dr. Balzarini is a social psychologist studying the interpersonal processes that enhance and detract from the quality of romantic and sexual relationships. Her recent research focuses on how diverse couples can have satisfying and passionate relationships and successfully navigate challenges through diversifying need fulfillment, engaging in novel and exciting activities, and being responsive during times of conflict or distress.
Giulia Zoppolat
Giulia Zoppolat is a Ph.D. candidate in social psychology at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. Her work focuses on romantic relationships, and specifically on how ambivalence (i.e. the experience of mixed feelings towards a partner) influences relationship dynamics and well-being.
